Hi Wang Community! I recently moved back to Massachusetts from 10 years in Colorado, and rejoined Lowell Public Schools in September. I'm happy to be at the Wang Middle School with lots of talented educators, staff, and administrators. I currently teach 5th Grade English Language Arts, but have taught 3rd through 6th grade throughout my career. When I'm not at school, you'll likely find me hiking with my dog, devouring books, creating in the kitchen, spending time with family and friends, or jet-setting to a new and exciting destination.

Hi! I’m Mrs. Merlino, and I’m excited to be teaching fifth grade Math and Science! I’ve been teaching for over 30 years and have spent more than 20 years at the Wang School. I love making math and science fun, hands-on, and accessible for all students. I’m also a proud mother and grandmother who loves spending time with my family, going on road trips, and exploring new places. I’m looking forward to getting to know my students, learning together, and making this a wonderful fifth-grade year!
