Math/Science

Hello! I am so excited to work with the students at the Wang! I have always LOVED math and science, so I feel so lucky to share that with my students! Apart from teaching 6th grade, I enjoy spending time with friends and family! I love collaborating with the other teachers in the grade to make learning fun for all students! My favorite part about teaching is being a part of the students' success inside and outside my classroom. I love getting to know the students, staff, and families in the Wang community!

Ms. Hannah Gould

6th Grade

English language Art / Social Studies 

I am a sixth-grade ELA and Social Studies teacher at Dr. An Wang Middle School, and this is my third year teaching. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Moderate Disabilities and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. I am passionate about creating a classroom where students are challenged to grow, and reminded that they are capable of doing hard things!

Erin McMahon

6th Grade

English language Art/ Social Studies

Mrs. McMahon is an English and Social Studies teacher at The Dr. An Wang School. She graduated from UMass Lowell and Lesley University and lives in Lowell with her husband, Brian. She has 2 daughters, Kaleigh and Lyndsey. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and entertaining and owns a catering company.

Ms.  Sarah  Cranney

6th Grade ELA & SS

So excited to be joining the Wang! This will be my 6th year teacher and second in Lowell but first at the Wang. I used to teach special education but transitioned into ELA and now Social Studies. I could not be more excited to be here!

I am a dedicated Mathematics teacher with two years of experience in education. I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can strengthen their mathematical skills, develop confidence, and build a strong foundation for academic success.

Emalee Toohey

Grade Math/Science

Hi! My name is Emalee Toohey, and I am a 6th grade math and science teacher at the Wang. I grew up in Methuen and earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from UMass Lowell. Growing up, I always enjoyed school and math was my favorite subject. In my classroom my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where students feel welcomed and comfortable taking academic risks. I want to help students build confidence, understand that making mistakes is a part of learning, and recognize their growth both in and out of the classroom. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
